Host Intro: When Janet Dreyfuss learned she had cancer, there was already a tumor the size of a baseball in her breast.  There was cancer in her lymph nodes and in her bones.  Today, she still has the cancer, but she says she?s feeling good?no pain, energy to see friends and go about her life, and the tumor in her breast has shrunk by half.  She credits her use of conventional and alternative medicine for her well-being, including an alternative known as Qigong.  It?s an ancient Chinese movement exercise that combines body awareness, breathing and specific postures to improve energy flow and health.  Today, we?ll talk with Janet, her oncologist, and her Qigong instructor, together, about how eastern and western medicine can compliment each other.  Janet?s oncologist is Dr. Anthony Elias, with the University of Colorado Cancer Center  at the Fitzsimmons Campus in Aurora.  Janet?s qigong instructor is Frank Chan, who will be giving a workshop about Qigong the weekend of July 23rd, at the Boulder Outlook Hotel.  Now let?s listen in as Janet, Frank and Dr. Elias talk together.
